In today's society , a numerous amount of people express their feelings through memes. According to the dictionary, a meme is "an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by Internet users, often with slight variations". In the meme above it is a slightly popular meme that originated with "be like Bill". Today people can change the name and gender and it makes up a story about them. In this meme bill is a stick figure. This meme is a passive aggressive way for people to talk about others. Bill sees something that offends him. Bill moves on. Be like Bill. Whoever made this must of felt the opposite way about themselves or someone else and wanted to create an illusion and a stick figure person to appear strong, and smart and not care about what others think of them.

I believe that the history of the meme started a couple months ago on Facebook. I am not sure about the source but this meme has changed over time because now people can create their own stories in a generator or create their own stories from scratch. Various examples and versions of this meme is that it shows other people. For an example, there was a version of this meme with a woman and it stated, " this is tara. Tara has three children by a married man. Tara is okay with being the side chick. Don't be like tara." These memes are created to passively aggressively target individuals but yet tell people don't be a certain way.
